Priyanka was the host for Shahid’s B’Day

Although Shahid and Priyanka are denying any romantic linkups, friends present at Shahid’s birthday swear that love is certainly brewing between the actors.

A party popper at Shahid’s birthday says, “Priyanka and Shahid were behaving as a much-in-love couple. In fact, it was as if they were ready to be open about their feelings for each other in front of friends. This from the reserved Shahid and cautious Priyanka surprised the starry guests. The bigger surprise was Priyanka’s hamari-bahu-Alka act at the party. She was the official hostess.”

“Priyanka had helped Shahid organise the party (including the guest list) and had even turned up early to help him out. She was looking after the guests, and making sure that food and the drinks were circulated properly. In fact, when Shahid went down to see a guest out downstairs and was away for five minutes, Priyanka went down to look for him. They behaved like besotted lovebirds. Priyanka even asked people who wanted to leave, to stay back and party till morning.”

Shahid’s birthday party was at a lounge bar of a five-star hotel, ironically Priyanka also celebrated her birthday at the same place last year which was a surprise from ex-boyfriend Hurman Baweja.

Rahman recalls his near-to-death experience before Oscars

The world is rejoicing for Jai Ho maestro A.R Rahman, but not many are aware of the fact that A.R Rahman had a close shave with death just two days before the Oscar ceremony.

Rahman recalls, I really don’t know what happened. Two days before the Oscars we were rehearsing at one of the theatres for the Oscars, the Jay Leno Show and the Oprah Winfrey Show when a massive chandelier, covering portion of the ceiling crashed to the spot just a split -second after I moved away.”

“ If I hadn’t moved way I’d have become history after making history in no time at all.The chandelier crashed exactly at the spot I was standing in just seconds before. It left me shaken but not terrified. I guess it was God’s warning not to take any of the good things that are happening to me too seriously.”

“I think the love and prayers of all those who love me saved me. As I walked from the left side of the stage to the right I could feel a heavy drop from the air, like water rushing down from a height of 30 to 40 feet. So with the good came the rude reminder of how quickly it can all be snatched away.”

Phew!! Well we wish a very long healthy life for you Rahman!!

Father slaps Slumdog child actor

In a shocking incident Slumdog Millionaire child-actor Azharuddin was slapped by his father when he refused to give interview to the waiting journalists.

Azhar’s father Mohammad Ismail said,”My son gave interview to the media but later since he was tired he refused to give an interview again, I dint like his attitude so I slapped him. I didn’t mean to hurt him.”

Azhar’s mother Shamima said,”He was tired after giving interviews to channels. When his father asked him to give the last interview he was not willing to give, so his father slapped him. It was not intentional.”

Azharuddin doesn’t blame his father, he says, “He slapped me out of love. I was not listening to him and didn’t want to take any more interviews that is why he slapped me.”

Look at the way the boy is crying! Huh so much for fame and money!

Gul Panag to do a condom advert?

Fiery actress Gul Panag loves meaningful cinema and would love to do some meaningful commercial with Aamir Khan.

She says, “I’ll certainly do a commercial with Aamir – even if it’s for something like condoms! And on the subject of condoms, people ought to learn to talk about condoms openly.The Censor Board needs to operate in a more rational manner.”

She adds. “On one hand, we have population control initiatives, and on the other, the Censor Board chops a scene in Hello for a dialogue that has the word ‘condom’ in it. Isn’t that illogical?”

Athletic beauty Bipasha Basu who has a very good skin and a fit body has recently revealed her beauty secrets. She says,

“I am a kind of person who is completely into workouts. I believe in being healthy and it’s not about just looking good. I always feel that being healthy is the key reason for me. That’s the reason I am so much into fitness”, Says Bipasha.

Bipasha reveals her health and beauty regime. “I drink 10 glasses of water a day. Apply sunscreen with a high SPF every time I step out in the sun. Eat small meals, around six times a day at regular intervals. Involve the proper food items in my diet judiciously which are highly nutritious. Exercising 4 times a week at minimum for an hour a day and minimum 7-8 hours of sleep a day definitely makes one look fit and beautiful.” she signs off.

Saif-Bebo to play terrorists

Rensil D’Silva’s upcoming flick starring Saif Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor and Vivek Oberoi is rumored to be a very intense thriller is apparently titled Jihaad.

Ask the same with Rensile and he says, “No…my film is not called Jihaad. It’s a name that the media seems to have given the film but it’s not the official title.”

“It’s a romantic thriller set against the backdrop of global terrorism.”

Quiz Rensil if Saif-Kareena will play terrorists in the movie and he says, “I can’t reveal plot points or character sketches at this point of time.”

The music of the flick is given by Salim-Sulaiman and will hit theatres at the end of this year.

SRK-Big B to do a movie together?

With everything settling down between SRK and Amitabh Bachchan after SRK’s shoulder surgery the next thing to hit us is that SRK and Big B are all set to star together in a flick.

The two superstars of Bollywood are rumored to be doing Farah Khan’s next directorial venture Happy New Year.

Big B recently gave SRK a visit at his home Mannat and SRK while recovering from his shoulder injury is taking time to read and discuss the film with Farah.

SRK- Big B combo has always delivered hits (Mohabbatein,K3G and KANK) and both are hoping that they strike the gold this time too.

Kareena throws party on Shahid’s B’day

Shahid Kapoor turned 28 recently and threw a grand bash for his family and friends, while Shahid was enjoying himself Shahid’s ex Kareena threw a bash at her residence for her friends.

A source says, “When Kareena heard about Shahid’s party at Sajid Nadiadwala’s party on Tuesday night, she immediately decided to host her own at Saif’s Bandra home though hers was a gathering of select friends like designer Aki Narula, her make-up artiste, Mallika Bhatt, designer Shabina Khan (who was also invited to Shahid’s party), Amrita Arora, Malaika Arora Khan, Arbaaz Khan and a few others.”

The source reveals, “Shahid’s bash was at a lounge bar of a suburban five-star hotel. The guestlist had Vidya Balan, Amrita Rao and Priyanka Chopra all of whom he has been romantically linked to! Meanwhile, ex-girlfriend Kareena Kapoor was not invited. Others included Farah Khan and Shirish Kunder, his Kaminey director Vishal Bhardwaj, Sajid and Wardha Nadiadwala, Ken Ghosh, Ahmed Khan and wife Shaira, designer Shabina Khan and trainer Abbas.”

However a Kareena friend denies the allegations, she says, What rubbish! Kareena didn’t throw any party. She was shooting double shifts for Rensil D’ Silva’s next and some patchwork for Kambakht Ishq. Maybe designer Akki Narula threw some party but Bebo wasn’t involved in it.”

Hard Kaur who is known for his hard voice created a scene when she was hosting at some event on Feb 19. The event was at Rock Bottom, where she was hosting an event and promoting her album where she suddenly started throwing some obscene words at the audiences. She was completely drunken and intoxicated.

One source from the event said, “Hard Kaur was so sloshed that night that she started abusing. Words like mc/bc put off the audience so much that they abused her in turn. It was so chaotic that she had to be dragged away.”

Also the manager of Rock Bottom, Bhavik Bhatt confirmed, “I heard words like F*&%U etc.”

“But that’s normal, you can’t call that abusing, she was just being naughty on the floor!” he added.

First the manager was defending her, but later he added, “I know she’s capable of messing up a party. She said too much on the mike, when people were there to listen to music. Most of the people who were present last night requested me not include her in any of our future events. Now we are definitely not going to call her for our events, even though she’s very popular and can draw crowds.”

It is not the first time that Hard Kaur had created such a drama. Previously also at the event of music release of Kismet Konnection, she accused a media person who was trying to click her pictures with a mobile phone.

The role which was first supposed to be done by Harman Baweja has now gone to John Abraham due to Harman’s date problems. As Harman is busy doing Ashutosh Gowarikar’s What’s Your Rashee? he has no dates available for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Chenab Gandhi. Eventually the role has gone to John Abraham.

One source said, “Bhansali had signed Harman for Chenab Gandhi since he was keen to work with the actor. Bhansali was also very happy with the look sitting that Harman had done for Chenab Gandhi. Bhansali is disappointed that Harman can’t be part of his film.”

The sources revealed that first the film was scheduled to start in December, but later it get delayed and that caused problem with Harman’s dates. More to it Anees Bazmee’s film It’s My Life has taken longer than expected for which he is busy shooting right now. And now he can’t give dates for Sanjay as he has already committed them to Ashutosh.

Shooting for the film will start in April.

Woody Allen is a renowned American director known for his classy films like Annie Hall, Husbands and Wives, Crimes and Misdemeanors and Bullets Over Broadway. Woody is always considered as one of the finest movie maker of Hollywood and is also known for his wits and eccentric dialogue writing.

Confirming the news, Freida’s sister Sharon Pinto said, “Yes, Freida has been cast in a film to be directed by Woody Allen, but she is also very busy with her agent in Los Angeles to work out her acting agenda. Currently she is overstressed with all the interviews, the media barrage.”

Currently Freida is having some rest at Los Angeles after the busy week of Oscar. However she is also shying away from the Indian media to avoid the controversy of her secret marriage. Specifying the expected privacy, her sister Sharon Pinto added, “The last two weeks have been difficult for Freida with all the speculation about her personal link in the media. Some details have been very unsavory and traumatic for her, and the family at large. Currently she is sleeping and catching some rest in Los Angeles. Also it being Oscar week, she has been in and out of interviews. We try to keep in touch with her, but then I always have to Google what the LA time is, for she might be asleep! I think it’s time to let her be.”

Rahman who won two Oscars for Best Original Score and Best Original Song went on the stage and sung the famous Jai Ho song from Slumdog…. along with western dancers, while gora men in traditional dhotis played the drums. Resul Pookutty won a award for Best Sound Mixing along with Ian Trap and Richard Pryke for the film. It was a honorable moment for all the Indians and the kids were hugely applauded for their stunning performance in the film. The whole cast and crew of the film was present for the ceremony.
